Throughout Allison’s early years,
she realized there had to be something more. More then the grief, stress, and
anxiety she felt throughout her young life.
That “more” she finally found was the path of Yoga. In her mid-teens she
knew the yogic path was calling her, but didn’t fully realize it. She took an
interest in reading books by the Dali Lama and Pema Chodron to try to see her life at a better angle. She then
made an attempt, at what she thought was the only thing yoga was in a local

pass. After a few years and more of life’s troubles followed.
Consumed by her anxiety and years of grief, she thought their needs to be
something to make her life even just a little better. By chance, (for about a
year) she passed a sign for a local yoga studio. Bravely, giving it another
shot, she contacted The YogaScape and it’s director Amy Pearce-Hayden. After her first class she
knew this possibly could be what she was always looking for. After many
classes, Dharma talks, and a clear awakening, she realized the spiritual path
of yoga had shown her exactly what was needed all along. That, was a grounding
peace and joy she thought she would never find. In July 2007, Allison completed
her 200-hour teacher-training program under Amy’s guidance at the RajaHatha
